“What path would you like to take as you move forward from your past?” was my first coach's question. I recalled that I desperately needed his support to get me through a significant event at work at that time. A kickoff event that typically falls under regional marketing responsibilities. But it was a much more difficult task for me as I needed to step back onto the speaker stage with confidence to take the lead; roughly a year prior, when I was travelling and about to hold the same event, I received my son’s news that his father had passed away accidentally. The insight I gained from coaching has enabled me to be at ease with challenges while utilising my strengths. I decided on the beckoning road as my internal path, and I never regretted taking this path. I have been intrigued since then and was inspired to become a business coach a few years later.
TwoDoors exist at a crossroads; one door will close, which can lead to an opening for another door. Changes are constant in the workplace, and so is life. Capturing the proper intention of the change while you design how to close one door and what kind of new environment you open the new door can be a liberating welcome as you in the moment. As a coach, I will respect and support your decision-making process, one step at a time.
